This is because the scanner has turned on the auto-sensing scanning mode. Most barcode scanners have a self-sensing scanning function, which can be turned on or off according to the actual scanning needs.
The scanner has two reading modes, namely self-sensing scanning mode and constant light scanning mode. Self-sensing scanning mode means that the scanning gun reading window is generally equipped with a sensor, which will automatically sense the item, and automatically turn on the laser line to scan the barcode of the item. After the barcode information is automatically uploaded, the laser line is automatically turned off, and the item leaves the sensing area. The second scan is performed when approaching again. The self-sensing scanner is especially suitable for applications in bookstores, pharmacies, convenience stores, supermarkets, billing, clothing counter sales, express logistics and other fields.
The constant light mode can also be called the continuous scanning function, which can be set for ordinary laser scanning guns, but this function is not often used in practical applications. Because the scanning gun is always on mode, it means that the scanning light is always on, and the laser head is always working, so the life of the laser head will definitely be affected. Generally, it is not recommended to set the scanner to always-on automatic scanning mode.
Therefore, the self-sensing scanning mode is essentially different from the constant-on continuous scanning mode. Ordinary laser scanning guns need one hand to hold the object, and the other hand holds the barcode scanning gun to scan. Both hands are occupied, and some items are relatively large or large. It is relatively heavy, so it is more troublesome to hold items in one hand, and the self-sensing scanning gun frees one hand. As an optical and electronic device, the laser scanning gun has relatively fragile photosensitive elements. It is self-inductive and does not need to touch the scanning gun. The scanning gun is placed on the bracket and is in a relatively fixed state, so that the life of the scanning gun will be longer. The buttons won't break, and the data cable won't get pulled too often.
